...And for the Bisexuals?

This is something I've been wondering about for nearly a year now. So, it's recently come to my attention that the "ex-Gay" programs don't really know what to do with Transgender people. This seems to me because it's been proven that Transgenderism/Transsexuality is something that occurs within the brain and the scientific answer to why people are Gay or Lesbian is not yet totally clear. But where do Bisexual people fall when it comes to "ex-Gay" programs? Are they just left aside because nobody can quite figure out what to do with them? Or are they looked over because, if they choose to, they can have a relationship with a member of the opposite sex?

Does anyone have any explanation to offer about this?

elliot, from my exposure to several ex-gay programs, lots of their websites and books, I have discovered that they do not believe bisexuality exists. It is simply a matter of straight people gone wild who need to be sorted.

It would be much more honest for some of these heterosexually married ex-gay leaders to identify as bisexual, with ability to sustain a romantic/sexual relationship with someone of either sex. Not everyone can do this and looking at these leaders and hearing their stories they make it sound like anyone can acheive what they apparently have.

Of course when we look at their testimonies closely we find that many have always had some attractions to someone of the opposite sex. They just never allowed themselves to explore those attractions until after their ex-gay experience.

I am sure others can add more, but I find that the plight of bi folks in the ex-gay world is very much to what it is in the gay and lesbian world. They are denied existence, questioned and accused of being dishonest.
